A finance professional with an excellent corporate and academic track record. He is a Chartered Accountant who passed all levels on the first attempt without any break and also completed an MBA and BBA from the University of Dhaka. He has worked in various leadership roles both locally and internationally, including CFO and Company Secretary of Rahimafrooz Superstores Limited (Agora Limited), a joint venture between Brummer & Partners and Rahimafrooz Bangladesh Limited, as well as Group CFO and Company Secretary of FCI (BD) Limited, a British-owned leading apparel manufacturer in Bangladesh. He also served as Group CFO of a leading conglomerate with a strong presence in textiles, garments, aviation, hospitality, and other industries.
He has excellent team building and communication skills and worked as Global Customer Development, Finance Manager at Unilever Global, UK. Before moving to Unilever UK, he held various roles at Unilever Bangladesh, including Customer Development Finance Manager, Management Accountant, and Cost Accountant. During his diverse and successful career at Unilever, he worked as a finance partner to Production, Supply Chain, Sales, and Brand teams both locally and internationally. He also played a key role in several major projects in Bangladesh and globally, including Zero-Day Closing, ABC costing, SAP implementation, distributor profitability, and profitable coverage expansion.
As a CFO, he made significant contributions to developing sustainable organizations through restructuring, process standardization, ERP design, and cost optimization. He is one of the pioneers of the implementation of standard costing in the apparel industry.
He audited leading multinational companies in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka during his articleship with KPMG.
In addition to his finance roles, he also acted as CEO of Agora in the absence of the CEO and served as Head of HR, Head of Projects, and Head of IT at different times during vacancies in those positions at Agora. He also led the IT and Commercial teams at FCI (BD) Limited.
